Loveisthebug's policy is to keep the basics free and unlike the majority of sites is "gender equitable" (i.e both men and women are free). That means everyone gets : -

free registration,searching,matching,chat and messaging.

However there is a daily limit on messaging to reduce blanket emailing from members and also to deter spammers.

This limit can be increased by upgrading your account to a level 2 package.

If you have used a different email then the one you registered with, we have to wait to confirm the payments with paypal, which causes a delay in the upgrade process.

However we do display last logged on member names on our front page.

Check your browser settings to ensure that cookies,active x controls and javascript are allowed. You will need to have these enabled in order to use the site. If you are using Internet explorer 8. The site may work better if you switch compatibility mode on.

On the logon screen there is a link to account/password reminder.

If you have been using Auto Logon, you will find on the last page of your profile screen, a check box called remove auto logon. Tick it then press next.

Email can take a bit of time on the net due to volumes and connections etc. The first thing to do is check your junk/spam folders as sometimes the email is in there. After a couple of hours please contact us and we will regenerate one for you.

We send you a validation email to your registered email address.
Ensure that you click on the full link especially if it wraps on to another line otherwise cut and paste it into the browser. If you still cant validate then check your browser settings to allow cookies,active x and javascript.

Logon to the site and select the profile menu option from the menu. There is a sub menu option called delete profile.

Mail is retained for a certain period of time which is displayed above the mail in,out and delete boxes.We also try and delete spammers mails to you.
If you think there is an actual error or unsure that it's working correctly, you can request us to send you a test message to your account.

On the last page of your profile (amend profile) there are two "Inform Me" check boxes. You can change these to stop receiving mails from the site. Certain types of emails are still received unless you have an account upgrade.

To get chat to work you computer has to have the Java run time environment installed on the machine.Also sometimes due to the demand, the chat server can be slow at times out.

In your profile there is a menu option amend image.You can replace your uploaded image by just deleting and then re-uploading an image.You can also delete your image if you dont want to display one anymore.Your default image is the one that is shown in search results etc.

In your profile there is a menu option amend image.You can check here to see if your image has been rejected due to its unsuitable content. Normally this is due to being categorised incorrectly.
Images which have explicit content can't be your default image and must be marked "X Rated" by checking the check box before being uploaded.

In the goodies menu there is an option, Profile Visits.This will tell you
who has been looking at your profile.

Profile comments are used to enhance a member profile by informing other users of
your experience with this member. A comment is something like. "I have chatted with this person they are a great laugh. However they are not my type". This is not a comment "Hi lets chat my email address is...". All unsuitable comments will be deleted and any member abusing the system will be banned.

You have to remember the majority of members are in relationships and have to be discreet about site access. This tends to mean they briefly logon and off regularly to send and pick up emails during the day etc.
